I’ve always said, “Dance is not the positions, but rather the space in between that connects them together”. Life is like that too. We all have monumental events in our lives, but it’s really the space between those occasions that comprise our lives. The everyday mundane outweighs the special events by far, and I found a way to celebrate and cherish that. My family and I had the good fortune of spending a day in March with the talented photographer, Julia Chang of Julia Chang Photography! I love these photos because Julia really captured the mood and essence of these “A Day in the Life” moments. It was a really fun ‘ordinary’ day. When I look at these photos now, it takes me right there, invoking all the sensations of that day. A picture really is worth a thousand words. As John Lennon said, “Life is what happens to you when you're busy making other plans.” I suggest documenting your “A Day in the Life” with Julia before it all passes by, way too quickly.

On May 14, 2016 we were fortunate enough to invite Julia Chang Lomonicoof Julia Chang Photography into our home for a Day In the Life photography session. A Day in the Life session is family photography re-invented. Its purpose to is capture our life for what it is...the good, the bad, the ugly, the beautiful. As a mother, I often loose myself in the mundane routine of dressing, feeding, cleaning, entertaining my children. These photos have helped me (and Andrew Nocera) step back and see the actual simple beauty and humor in our everyday life. These are the details of our life that are often taken for granted. It may be crazy but it is our crazy.
Julia slept over the night before to start her integration with our family and photographed us from morning to night. She was a fly on the wall and made it surprisingly easy to forget she was there at all. I highly recommend contacting her for your session, it is an invaluable gift you can give yourself and your children. A gift that I know will be cherished more & more as the years go on.
